Burns Family and Baby Shower

Maggie decided to worship with this flag for us.
Kyle and I decided to worship on the deck.  Classic arm raised by a lake.
Kari had a baby shower that Penny, Kelly, and Joyce went to.  They had a great time with family and friends.
Kyle and I have gorgeous wives.
 Ken and Maggie eat breakfast.
This is my favorite Maggie picture.  Makes me laugh.

Good Friends and Nerd Games

We saw our good friend Brad Lang this weekend.  His Warhammer team was in town for a nerd game tourney.  The Cat's Pajama didn't win the tourney but they rolled hard.  It was so good to see Brad, Seth, Brian, and the rest of the guys.  We are so blessed to know these men.  They are not only encouraging to us, but really fun to be around.  I haven't witnessed a tourney like this before and my eyes were opened.  I have never seen and smelled so many nerds in one room.

When we weren't talking about trolls or magic missiles, the conversation went to Uganda.  Brad is moving in 4 days to Africa.  He is working with a ministry there and we are so excited for him.  It really seems like all his experience and desires fall into place in this opportunity in Uganda. We ask for you to join us in prayer and support of him.  Check out his blog.

We also got the great honor of seeing Seth and Brian.  I was blessed to be asked to help Seth begin his campaign to become the 2011 Staff of the Year at Jamestown college.  Seeing Brian made us miss the Langs even more.  We hope someday we'll actually hang out with them.   Lisa (Brian's Wife) is an amazing mom and wife and shows it on her blog.  They are a blessing to us even though we hardly hang out together.  They have beautiful kids from all over the world.

Seeing such good friends reminds us of how blessed we are.  Our God is so good to us. We deserve none of it, and are flooded with grace.

Here's a bonus Video.  Thanks for reading.

Sorry Mr. Walton, we joined another club.

We converted to Costco today.  After years of enjoying Sam's Club and all that it provided us (bulk everything and sample days), we decided to try what people told us was "The Target of Wholesale Warehousey Stores".  We didn't have any problems with our old friend Sammy's but we have never lived somewhere with Costco.  We are excited to see all the that our future with Costco has for us.

Kelly wanted this giant wooden nutcracker, but I think it's too close to Christmas for such gifts.

I wanted 30 lbs of almonds, but again, it's close to birthdays and Christmas.

We also stopped by Ikea today.  I wonder if Ikea and Costco could merge.

I'd call it Super Swedish Wholesale Warehouse or SSWW.
